Carolyn R. Jamison

Carolyn Ruth (York) Jamison, age 72, a native of Franklin, Indiana and a resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Covered Bridge Health Campus. She was born on February 20, 1950 to the late Marion York and the late Gertrude (Pierce) York. Carolyn was a member of Reddington Christian Church for over 10 years where she loved going to church and worshipping God. Carolyn was a "spitfire" and you never had to wonder what she was thinking because she was quick to speak her mind. On the softer side, she was a loving mother and grandmother and would help anyone that needed her. She enjoyed fishing, family gatherings, country music and western movies, especially John Wayne. She also had a very special place in her heart for animals, especially dogs. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her and each life that she touched in her own special way. She is survived by her son, Danny Jamison Jr. and his girlfriend Kristina White of Seymour, Indiana and one daughter, Margaret Lewis and her husband J.R. of Mitchell, Indiana. Three brothers, Tom York and his wife Beverly "Sue" of Seymour, Indiana, James York of Seymour, Indiana and Greg York of Seymour, Indiana. Two grandchildren, Dwayne Anderson and Brittnie Perkins and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Danny Jamison Sr, two brothers, George York and Marvin York. Five sisters, Stella Waggoner, Shirley Harris, Brenda York, Mary Ellen York and Louise York.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM with funeral services beginning at 2:00 PM, Pastor Scott Brown will officiate. She will be laid to rest at Ackeretts Chapel Cemetery in Seymour, Indiana.
