Charles Carter Bobbitt

Charles Carter Bobbitt, 83, of Seymour, passed away on August 18, 2021, at Schneck Medical Center. He was born June 27, 1938, in Norman, Indiana, son of Hugh “Peck” William and Bernice May Troy Bobbitt. Charles was a member of Central Christian Church. On February 28, 1979, in Seymour, he married Freda Bridgewater Bobbitt, who preceded him in death on May 26, 2013.
Charles was employed in the maintenance department with the City of Seymour and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 655 where he served as President for 3 terms.
Mr. Bobbitt is survived by five stepsons; one stepdaughter; 17 nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Freda; brothers, Delbert Rodenberger, James Rodenberger, William Bobbitt; sisters, Lois Douglas, Kathleen Anderson, Cynthia Annice Reynolds.
Services will be conducted Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Central Christian Church, Seymour, Indiana with visitation 2 hours prior to service. Burial will follow at Scottsburg Cemetery, Scottsburg, Indiana.
All arrangements have been entrusted to the caring staff of Winklepleck & Brock Funeral Home, Brownstown, IN.
