Charles "Chuck" Franklin Mckeand Sr.

Charles "Chuck" Franklin McKeand Sr., age 75, a native of Madison, Indiana and a resident of Norman, Indiana, passed from this life on Saturday, February 20, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer at his daughters residence in Athens, Texas. He was born on May 19, 1945 to the late Kenneth McKeand and the late Anna Louise (Richey) McKeand. Charles served his Country proudly in the United States Navy. He was a Christian by faith and loved spending time with his family, camping, showing classic cars and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marilyn (Howard) McKeand of Norman, Indiana, one son, Charles McKeand Jr. and his wife Shannon of Brownstown, Indiana. One daughter, Michelle Garren and her husband Chris of Athens, Texas. Four grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Kenneth W. McKeand.
As per his wishes, the family has chosen cremation and a celebration of life will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday March 26, 2021 at the Dupont Firehouse located at 10460 N Reynolds Rd, Dupont, Indiana 47231. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be directed to Thrive Community Church located at 610.5 Old Tyler Highway Athens,Texas 75751. www.livewithpurpose.church
