Darlene Mccrady

Darlene (McNeely) McCrady, age 76, a native and resident of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Clark Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 18, 1945 to the late Ralph Everitt McNeely and the late Thelma Louise (Scifres) McNeely. She was a member of Kimberlin Creek Baptist Church for over 60 years. She will forever be remembered as a kind, loving, quiet lady that had an ornery sense of humor. She loved birds, cats, flowers and being with her family. Darlene was an excellent cook and the family will forever treasure the memories of her cherry cobbler, pancakes, potato soup and corn bread.

Darlene is survived by her one son, Clinton W. McCrady and his wife Renee of Scottsburg, Indiana, three daughters, Mary Jane McCrady and her husband Danny Frost of Scottsburg, Indiana, Tammy Ann Robinson of Scottsburg, Indiana and Diane Lynn Alford and her husband Mike of Austin, Indiana. One brother, Everitt 'Pete' McNeely and his wife Ida Mae of Scottsburg, Indiana and one sister, Kathy Cloud and her husband Vandy of Scottsburg, Indiana. Nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Wayne McCrady, three brothers, Roy Mac McNeely, Jimmy Lee McNeely and Robert Allen McNeely. Two sisters, Anna Cox and Mary Jane McNeely.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Christensen - Hoagland Family Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation will resume on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home with services beginning at 1:00 PM, and William H Graham officiating.

 She will be laid to rest at Zoah Cemetery.
