Dennis D. Hayes, age 70 of Seymour passed away on Saturday September 7, 2019 at the Seymour Crossing. Born October 28, 1948 in Seymour, he was the son of Charles Riley and Ruth Louise (Owens) Hayes.

Dennis was retired but had worked at ITT in North Vernon and Clarks Gas Station. He was a former member of the VFW in Seymour, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #655 and Time Turners. He enjoyed playing pool, hanging with friends, Harley Davidsons, listening to rock music and pretty women. He really enjoyed hotrods and had owned two fast Ford Fairlanes.

Survivors include his niece, Terri Moss; nephews, Tom (Kathy) Kiefer, Steve Engle and Tony Greathouse.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Wanda Engle, Linda Kiefer and Darrell Wayne Hayes; niece, Joetta Lynn Moffatt and nephews, Tim and Randy Engle.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am until 1:00pm Friday, September 13, 2019 at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre. At 1:00pm family will process to Riverview Cemetery where Dennis will be buried.
