Dennis Wayne Scott

Dennis Wayne Scott, age 69, a native of Austin, Indiana and resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021 at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on June 29, 1951 to the late Charles Wayne Scott and the late Mary Catherine (Foster) Thompson.
Dennis was a member of the Seymour Christian Church and the owner of The Seymour Sleep Shop for over 10 years. He loved collecting things and loved Sci-fi, especially Star Wars. He will forever be remembered as a quiet man that was loyal to his friends and loving to his family. He was always happy and loved being with those that he loved. He was a giver and for over 38 years was a sponsor of children overseas through The Children’s Fund.
He is survived by his brother, Steve Scott of Austin , Indiana and one sister, Cathy Holland of Seymour, Indiana. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather, Robert “Bob” Thompson and one brother in law, Tony Holland.
As per his wishes, he will be cremated. The family will be celebrating the life of Dennis and his brother in law, Tony Holland, that the family lost last month in a joint memorial service to be held at a later date.
