Douglas A. Roberson

Douglas A. Roberson, age 42 of Spraytown, passed on Friday, March 28th at Schneck Medical Center. He was born October 19, 1971 in Seymour, he was the son of Dennis and Carol (Smith) Roberson. Graduating from Brownstown High School in 1990, Doug worked at J.C. Groub and Bedel’s Transmission Service in Seymour. He enjoyed working on cars and had a 1968 Ford Mustang Convertible and a 1984 Chevy Camaro. Doug also loved cattle dogs and had recently rescued Annie. He was an outdoorsman and loved to walk in the woods and make things out of wood he found. Doug often made walking sticks and gave to friends and family. His family will also treasure his Pluto collection of many years. Doug is survived by his parents, Dennis and Carol of Spraytown; his fiancé of 17 years, Jennifer McFarlin of Spraytown; his brother Jeremy (Patches Lee) Roberson of Spraytown; his grandmother Elizabeth A. Smith of Acme; a niece, Salisha Lynn Roberson and his newly rescued cattle dog, Annie. Doug also is survived by aunts & uncles, Peggy and Mike Trueblood and Mark and Ellen Roberson and cousins, Carrie and Steve Lawson as well as Christy and Derek Fields. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Calvin Smith and Elvin and Lucille Roberson as well as his dog Chiya. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 1st from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at the Woodlawn-Freetown Funeral Chapel. No formal services will be held and cremation will follow visitation.
