Douglas Shields, 68, of Scottsburg IN (residing in the Lexington IN area), died Tuesday, April 19 2011 at Norton Hospital in Louisville KY. He was born January 29 1943 in Scottsburg IN to Bernard Shields & Daisy Spradlin Shields who preceded him in death. Douglas was a member of Memphis Community Church and was a truck driver for a transport company in Carrolton KY. Survivors: wife, Annette Secuskie Shields; sons Christopher Shields & wife Melissa; & Chad Shields & wife Alejandra; daughters Shannon Smith, Alisha Shields & Leigh Ann Allende & husband Sergio; sister Penny Hiler & husband Marvin; brother Rodney Shields & wife Jennifer; 11 grandchildren Greg Shields, Gerel Richey, Heaven Richey, Krisann Bostic, Quinton Shields, Dustin Smith, Kyle Shields, Angel Richey, Harmony Richey, Alex Allende, Cameron Shields. Visitation: 10 AM - 1 PM, Friday, April 22 2011 at the funeral home.
