Eva Jane White

Eva Jane (Wheeler) White, age 90, a native of Brownstown, Indiana and a resident of Medora, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Schneck Medical Center. She was born on November 26, 1932 to the late Benjiman Wheeler Sr. and the late Laura Esther (Boknecht) Wheeler. She was a Christian by faith. Eva Jane will forever be remembered as a fun loving, feisty and independent lady that was a very hard worker. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, hiking, the outdoors and sewing. Above all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and her little dog "Tinker". She was a wonderful cook and the family will forever treasure the memories of her turkey salad, sticky buns and corn fritters.

Eva Jane is survived by her Three sons, Patrick J. White and his wife Vivian of Medora, Indiana, Ralph White of Brownstown, Indiana and Phil White and his wife Melissa of Gosport, Indiana. Two daughters, Laura Eglen of Brownstown, Indiana and Rebecca Fleetwood and her husband James of Medora, Indiana. Two brothers, Bill Wheeler of Seymour, Indiana and Jack Wheeler and his wife Barbara of Brownstown, Indiana. One sister, Betty Foster of Seymour, Indiana. Nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Jim Wheeler, Lindy Wheeler, Ben Wheeler and Bob Wheeler. One sister, Ann Trowbridge, one great grandson, Patch Samuel Abner and her son in law, Danny Eglen.

The entire family wishes to express their deep love and appreciation to her daughter, Rebecca for taking such amazing care of her during her later years.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Christensen Family Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at Smallwood Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be directed to Smallwood Cemetery in her honor.
