James D. Lyons

ames D. Lyons, age 66 of Brownstown died at 4:30pm Tuesday, May 21st, at his residence. Born December 7, 1946 in Gallatin, Tennessee, he was the son of Willard Lyons and Oma Mae (Jones) Stuller. James worked construction most of his life. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 2693. He enjoyed family and friends and loved making things from wood for others. Survivors include three sons, Gayland, Buckston and Halcomb Lyons; one daughter, Mandy (Rickey) Rich of Shelbyville; three sisters, Judy Lyons and Willa Nixon both of Brownstown and Janie (Bob) Branaman of Medora. Jim also has 3 grandchildren, Austin and Dustin Grubbs and Lauren Rich. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Medora Christian Church on Saturday, May 25th, from 10:00am until 1:00pm. A service of remembrance will be held at 1:00pm at the church. Cremation will follow services.
