Joseph “Joe” Allen Land, age 51, a native of Scottsburg, Indiana and a resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Scneck Medical Center.

He was born on May 6, 1970 to Ronald Land and Clarice (Fisher) Pate. He was a Christian by faith. He will always be remembered as a generous, giving man that would give his shirt of his back to whoever needed him. He was a fighter and fought for whatever he believed in.

He was quite the jokester and enjoyed working with flowers and music.

He loved making people smile and above all loved his family and especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Tara Renee (Reynolds) Land of Seymour, Indiana, his mother, Clarice (Fisher) Pate and her husband Samuel of Scottsburg, Indiana and his father, Ronald Land and his wife Myrtle of Seymour, Indiana. One son, Mikiah Land and his fiancé Jazmin Spicer of Charlestown, Indiana. Three daughters, Meagan Taylor of Scottsburg, Indiana, Terra Maudlin and her husband Nathan of Salem, Indiana and Step daughter, Alicyn Glenn of Lexington, Indiana. Four brothers, Ronald Land and his wife Gabby of San Antonio, Texas, Gabe Land and his wife Renee of Scottsburg, Indiana, Jimmie Pate of Austin Indiana, and Brian Pate of Henryville Indiana.

Six grandchildren, Delilah Rankin, Ryliegh Shell-Land, Piper Rankin, Myliah Land, Lane Maudlin and Braxton Land.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM with funeral services beginning at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jacob Howell officiating.

He will be laid to rest at Austin Cemetery.
