Judy A. Nichols

Judy Ann NIchols, age 78, a lifelong resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Schneck Medical Center. She was born on July, 29, 1943 to the late Russell Nichols and Dortha (Gray) Nichols. Judy was a loving, generous, straight shooter and you never wondered what she was thinking. She was a "spitfire" and so much fun to be around. She enjoyed going to the beach, visiting with friends and was a wonderful conversationalist. Of all the things that she loved in this life, nothing compared to the love she had for her family. Her grand and great grandchildren were her world. She loved to support them in their activities, including watching them play ball and sing in choral concerts.
Judy is survived by her one son, Scott Kemp and his wife Melanie of Gulf Breeze, Florida, one daughter, Jodi Sullivan and her husband Dean of Winchester, Kentucky, one brother, James Nichols and his wife Reva of Freetown, Indiana.
Seven grandchildren, Tabatha Caudill and her husband Christian, Brandon Martin, Cameron Lanter, Peyton Lanter, Delaney Lanter, David Kilpatrick and Kevin Kilpatrick. Four great grandchildren, Makenzie Caudill, Gabriel Caudill, Aydinn Caudill and Abigayle Caudill. She is also survived by the father of her children and very special friends, William and Paula Kemp of Seymour, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, John Russell Nichols and one sister, Betty Jane Nichols.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 2, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Christensen Family Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 12:00 PM with Pastor Tyler Tolbert officiating. She will be laid to rest at Reddington Cemetery.
