Kellie Beth Bodi

Kellie Beth Bodi, age 48 of Freetown, passed away on Tuesday August 15, 2017 at Schneck Medical Center. Born November 9, 1968 in Toledo, Ohio she was the daughter of Louis Earl and Kay Frances (Allore) Bodi.

Kellie was a very spirited woman, she was a devoted activist and public speaker regarding HIV and AIDS. She enjoyed riding her Harley Davidson Motor Cycle and loved to spend quiet time reading her favorite books. She adored spending time with her children and grandchildren and she especially missed her father, Louis E. “Butch” Bodi, who passed away on June 20, 2011.

Survivors include her children; Steven Hawkins, Kayla (Matthew Waggoner) Ward and Louis Hawkins, her grandchildren; Jordan Alexander, Emily Ward, Zakaria Hawkins, Izabella Ward and Serenity Nixon, and her sisters, Joy Jones and Jeannie Sanchez.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter, Serenity Hawkins.
