Margie G Cummings

Margie G. Cummings, age 89 of Medora, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2019 at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown. Born April 20, 1930 in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Stanley “Bill” and Frankie (Cockerham) Gilbert. On August 21, 1948 in Brownstown, she married James Eugene Cummings who preceded her in death in 2010.
Margie was a member of the Mount Zion United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children, Randy (Alice) Cummings and Phil Cummings both of Medora, Tracey (Troy) Champ of Iron Ridge, Wisconsin; her brother, Jack (Gladys) Gilbert of Medora; grandchildren, Melinda (Mark) Armstrong of Bedford, Christen Carter of Scipio, Gabrielle Cummings of Fort Myers, FL, Amanda (Tommy) Linville of Seymour, Wesley Cummings of Medora, Zoe (Cody) Barnett of Cynthiana, KY, Trista Champ and Tori Champ both of Iron Ridge, WI; great-grandchildren, Delani, Sere, Kaylynn, Keira, Madison, Araylyn, Ellena, Lolah, Amellia, Devon, Lena, Aubree, Lilah and Grayson .

Margie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Steve Cummings; siblings, Carl Eugene Gilbert and Patty Hall; grandson, Cole Cummings.

Services will be at 11:00am on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at the Mount Zion United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00-8:00pm and from 10:00am Thursday until service time at the church. Burial will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery.
