Meredith Joseph Payne

Meredith Joseph “Joey” Payne, Jr., of North Vernon, passed away on Monday, June 15th in North Vernon. Born May 11, 1975 in Jacksonville, AR, he was the son of Meredith Joseph Payne, Sr. and Becky Sue Jones. Joey was employed at NVIC in North Vernon. He will be remembered as a kind hearted and loving dad who enjoyed fishing and spending time with his kids. He was an artist and loved drawing. Joey is survived by his mother of Scipio; father, of Seymour; children, Brittany and Timothy Payne of Lorain, Ohio, Jasmine Payne of Seymour, Saige Scott of Kentucky and Arabella Payne of North Vernon; grandchildren, Troy, Chloe, Arabella, Zoe and Mariah; brothers, Jeremy Payne, Jonnathon Mickeal, and Michael (Melissa) Payne of North Vernon. Joey also had several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A celebration of Joey’s life will be held on Friday at 6:00pm at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre at 311 Holiday Sq. Rd in Seymour. Friends can visit with the family from 4:00pm until service time. Memorials can be made to a memorial fund in Joey’s honor.
