Mildred Vernice Cox

Mildred Vernice Cox, 94 formerly of Freetown, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at 6:51 AM. She was born April 8, 1925, in Brown County, the daughter of the late Ellis and Elma (Pruitt) Robertson.
She married William T. Cox who preceded her in death May 9, 2003.
Mildred was a member of Freetown Nazarene Church. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, cooking and spending time with family.
She is survived by her sons, Gary Wayne (Loretta) Cox and Larry William Cox; daughter, Debra Ann (Ronald) Hutson; seven grandchildren, Melissa Hayes, Carla Allen, Shelly Beauchamp, Carrie Willison, Amy Deckard, Andrea Thomas and Kiefer Howard; step-grandchildren, Lora Schrink, Nathan Owen and Jeremy Owen; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughters, Janet Sue George and Sandra Lea Jaynes; brothers, Lora Robertson and Howard Robertson; and sisters, Mable Kennedy, Velma Rollins and Gladys Varvel.
Services will be conducted Monday, July 22, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Winklepleck & Brock Funeral Home in Brownstown. Friends and family may call at the funeral home after 12:00 PM until time of service. Burial will follow at Christiansburg Cemetery.
