Patricia Joyce "Pat" Tracey

Patricia Joyce “Pat” Tracey, age 82 of Seymour, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018 at home. Born March 27, 1936 in Seymour, she was the daughter of Arthur “Hook” and Helen (Hinton) Greene. On December 20, 1958 in Seymour, she married Jeremiah J. “Jerry” Tracey.

Pat graduated from Shields High School in 1954. She worked at Baldwin’s Drug Store where she met her lifelong sweetheart, Jerry. Pat also worked many years in the accounting department of several local manufacturers. She was a member of The Point church and Northland Church in Longwood, FL.

She was active in many sporting activities, such as bowling and volleyball. Pat served for years in the Epsilon Sigma Alpha-Delta Delta sorority and participated in many programs such as Easter Seals. She was a master baker and made candies for several philanthropic fundraising events. Pat was an avid supporter of her grandchildren’s activities and sporting events.

Survivors include her sons, Tim (Eleanor) Tracey of Longwood, FL, Mike (Julie) Tracey and Terence (Angie) Tracey both of Seymour; grandchildren, Michael (Katie) Tracey, Martha Tracey, Jeremiah Tracey, Caitlin Tracey, Phoebe Zike, Davis Tracey and Dan Tracey; her siblings, Arnold (Bonnie) Greene of North Vernon, Janet (Russ) Barlow of Seymour and John (Elaine) Greene of Columbus; brothers-in-law, John (Sue) Tracey of Claremont, CA and Jimmy (Joyce) Tracey of Seymour. Patricia was also blessed with numerous nieces and nephews. Pat was expecting her first great-grandson, Jackson Dexter Tracey.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; husband and brother Jackie “Jack” Greene.

Pastors Steve Greene and Vernon Rainwater will conduct a funeral service at 1:30pm on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre. Visitation will be from 10:30am until 1:00pm at the funeral home. Entombment will follow services at Riverview Cemetery. Memorials can be made at the funeral home in Patricia’s memory to the St. Ambrose Catholic School, Immanuel Lutheran School, Trinity Lutheran High School or to the Hospice of Schneck Medical Center.
