Patricia Lee Perkins

Patricia Lee (Carlile) Perkins age 86, passed into the arms of Jesus on December 22,

2023 at Copper Trace Assisted Living Community in Westfield, Indiana. Pat was born

in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late James Carlile and the late Alma McClellan Carlile, 

and grew up with her brothers Bob and Sam in Scottsburg, Indiana.

She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Indiana State

University and her Master of Science degree in Education from The University of

Wisconsin. A member of Sigma Kappa sorority and education honor society Pi Lambda

Theta, she taught fourth grade in New Albany, Indiana, at Mt. Tabor Elementary School

where she met and married fellow teacher Norman R. Perkins, who preceded her to life

in Christ. 

She is survived by her son Steven, his wife Melissa, and their children Austin

and Olivia, all of Westfield, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert and Samuel Carlile.

In lieu of flowers, she asks contributions be made

to support students where her son teaches at Guerin Catholic High School

(https://www.guerincatholic.org/providence-fund-giving ) in Noblesville, Indiana.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Christensen - Hoagland Family Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Doug Perrigin and Steven Perkins officiating.

She will be laid to rest in Scottsburg Cemetery.
