Ray M. Barnett, 72 of Seymour passed away October 12, 2020 at Schneck Medical Center. Born July 29, 1948 in Indianapolis he was the son of Willard and Mildred (Hanner) Barnett.
Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing music and radio-controlled airplanes. He was known as a happy man who was very musical. He enjoyed playing the guitar, drums, piano, bass, and mandolin. Ray had worked many years as a sales representative for Pepsi and was a Christian by faith.
Survivors include his sons, Steve Barnett of Jackson, County, Matthew Barnett and his wife Rochelle of Brownstown, Greg Barnett and his wife Melanie of Medora, Randy Barnett of Jackson County and Bobby Barnett and his wife Julia of North Vernon; his sister, Rose Stewart of Jackson County and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00am until the time of service at the funeral home. Pastor Terry Fordice will conduct funeral services at 1:00pm Friday, October 16, 2020 at Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre. Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Brownstown. Services will be livestreamed for those who cannot attend on Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre’s Facebook. Friends and family members can leave online condolences at www.woodlawnfamilyfuneral.com
