Robert "Bob" Reynolds

July 14, 1929 — May 10, 2018

Robert "Bob" L. Reynolds, age 88, of Medora, passed away on Thursday, May 10 at his home. He wore many hats and was also known as “Little Haley”, "Pap", and "Bob". He was born July 14, 1929 in Washington County, Indiana to Robert N. and Millie Albertson Reynolds who preceded him in death. Bob was raised by Helen Robinson Reynolds, and she preceded him in death. He married Cynthia Annice Bobbitt on August 1, 1955 in Crown Point, Indiana and she preceded him in death. Bob graduated from Medora High School in 1947 where he was known as a star basketball player.

He was in the United States Army from 1949 to 1952 where he served as a mail clerk. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal with five bronze stars and the United Nations Service Medal. He retired from Cummins Engine Company in 1985 after 30 years of service. After retirement, he continued working by helping farm with Andy Roller and his old school chum, Jack Roller.

He was well known in the Medora area and enjoyed passing out peppermint candies to everyone he met. Bob was a great husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. He loved family and knowing what each member was doing. Family gatherings were his favorite times. Bob enjoyed karaoke with his family and friends. He loved country and blue grass music. He was a member of Medora Wesleyan Church and a life member of VFW #6636 of Salem, Indiana.

He is survived by his children, Randal David (Gayna) Reynolds, Bernice May George, Robert Brian (Kimberly) Reynolds, Richard Kevin Reynolds, and Mardeana Kay (Helen) Reynolds. Bob is also survived by one sister, Judy Davis. Bob is survived by grandchildren, David (Katie) Reynolds, Shawna (DJ) Gray, Leslie Ault, Sarah (Todd) Dunkel, Emily (Jake) Riggs, Adam Reynolds, Jacob Reynolds, Tyler Reynolds, and Craig (Steph) Bell. Bob is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by three brothers, Darvin, Ron, and Don Reynolds and one grandchild, Matthew Reynolds.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Winklepleck & Brock Funeral Home, Brownstown. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Winklepleck & Brock Funeral Home with Pastor Skip Breeden officiating. Burial will take place at White River Valley Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be: Terry Reynolds, Adam Reynolds, Tyler Reynolds, David W. Reynolds, Mark Reynolds, Kevin Davis, Junior Bowers, and Crail Bell.

Full military graveside rites will be conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean & Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour, Indiana. Memorials may be made to Medora Wesleyan Church, Medora Goes Pink, or White River Valley Cemetery Association.
