Robert M. Lyons

Robert M. Lyons, age 70 of Madison, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the University of Louisville Hospital. Born June 13, 1943 in Joliet, IL, he was the son of Paul R. and Martha (Steinberger) Lyons. Bob graduated from Shawe High School and had worked at the Madison State Hospital for 30 years with 12 years being in the maintenance department. He was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Madison Moose Lodge and American Legion Post #9. He had served his country in the Army National Guard. He is survived by his two daughters, Julie (Jake Simmons) Lyons of Louisville and Melissa (James Sentell) Humbert of Madison. Bob also had two grandchildren, Tyler Humbert and Ali Sentell. He is also survived by his companion of 7 years, Kathy Humphrey Private graveside services will be held at St. Patrick Cemetery. The family will have a pitch in and gathering at the Moose Lodge on Michigan Road at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 21st. The family requests that memorials be made to Moose Haven, care of the funeral home. Vail Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
