Sandra Gayle Kuehn

March 9, 1957 — August 23, 2019

Sandra Gayle Kuehn, age 62 of Seymour, stepped into eternity after an extended illness at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born on March 9, 1957 in Scottsburg, she was the daughter of Clebert “Bill” and Helen Marie (Foster) Kinney. On August 10, 1975, she married Lowell “Craig” Kuehn at his parent’s farm in Crothersville. She was a member of Cornerstone Community Church in Seymour, Indiana.
Sandra and Craig followed their call to ministry and graduated from Christ For The Nations in 1990. They joined Calvary International, now Go To Nations, and moved to Manila, Philippines in 1991, making that their home for the next 19 years. Sandra always put family first and leaves behind her extraordinary children and grandchildren. They were each ‘her favorite.’ Sandra L O V E D Christmas and was a consummate host. She was known as Mrs. Christmas to her team in the Philippines, filling their missionary lives with the traditions and joy of Christmas like no other. In addition to that Sandra was passionate about ministering to children, families, ministers and their wives. Sandra pioneered outreach ministry to street children, taught Christian Family, Creation Science and Blood Covenant in Bible schools, conducted marriage conferences and women’s ministry throughout Asia. Based in the Philippines, Sandra worked extensively there as well as Vietnam, India and Thailand. Along with that she continued ministry in Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia and Australia. As she ‘smuggled’ Bibles into China for the first time in 1992, the believers said to her ‘we have been praying for you to come.’ When she taught her first children’s ministry training in ‘still underground’ Vietnam in 1993, the believers said ‘we have been praying for you to come.’ Every day of her life Sandra was Jesus representative, extended in spirit and body to anyone she crossed paths with. Sandra’s life legacy are hundreds of trained ministers, couples, young adults and children around the world that call her ‘mother’ and ‘grandma’.
