Sheila Kay Moore

Sheila Kay Moore, age 57 of Butlerville, passed away 9:44pm on Monday, July 22, 2013 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus with her family by her bedside. Born August 26, 1955 in Bakersfield, CA, she was the daughter of Roland and Anna (Satterfield) Gessler. For 24 years, Sheila was married to Kevin Moore who survives. She had worked at Regal Rug and Electrical Systems in North Vernon. Sheila enjoyed to garden, sewing and crafts and would love to crochet items and give them away. Sheila is remembered as a good person who loved her grandchildren. Survivors include her loving husband, Kevin and four children, Chance Johnson of Butlerville, Josh (Nicole) Moore of Nebraska, Coty Moore of Butlerville and Jennifer (Jr.) Driver of North Vernon. Also surviving are five sisters, Rebecca Lucas of Westport, Annette (Ed) Austin of Scottsburg, Lora Rice of Lexington, Deborah Gessler and Sharon Gessler both of North Vernon. Nine grandchildren also survive who were the light of her life. Mother and Father In Law, Randy & Carol Moore of Seymour. Sheila also held a special place in her heart for two nephews she babysat with, Ryan and Tanner Moore. She also is survived several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Sheila was preceded in death by her parents and a son Christopher Jayne. Services will be at 1:00pm on Friday, July 26th at the Christ Temple Apostolic Church at 607 Euclid Ave in Seymour officiated by Rev. Dennis Allman. Visitation will from 10:00am until service time at the church on Friday. Burial will follow in Hayden Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Sheila Moore Memorial Fund care of the funeral home.
