Stella Marie Sandlin

Stella "Mamaw Tucky" Marie Sandlin, 68, of Seymour, passed away September 18, 2017 at the Schneck Medical Center. Born May 07, 1949 in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Lawrence Bernel Strother and Orwren Druzella Esley.

Stella was honorably a Women's Army Corps Veteran. She loved inside gardening, reading, oil painting, crocheting and breeding Shih Tzus. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Chandra (Justin) Day and Corey Sandlin; her grandchildren, Nathan Wilson, Heather Wilson, Destiny Wilson, Justin "Bernie" Day and Christian "Mickey" Day; her siblings, Peggy Smith, Helen Payton, Carol Lane and Rebecca Ooley; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a grandchild, Phoenix Wilson.
