Teresa Lynn (Foster) Abell

Teresa Lynn (Foster) Abell, age 66, a lifelong resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Schneck Medical Center. She was born on February 17, 1957 to the late Delbert Foster and the late Marilyn (Allman) Foster. She was a Christian by faith. Teresa will forever be remembered as a strong willed, honest, eccentric lady that while having a serious side, had a "hilarious" sense of humor. She enjoyed traveling, especially "girls’ trips" with her sisters and friends Angie Atha and Angie Russell. Some of her favorite destinations include Mackinac Island, Florida and New York. She played the guitar, loved 60's oldies music and dancing. She enjoyed clogging, tap dancing and working crossword puzzles. One of Teresa's many passions was fishing and watching cooking shows. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and the best big sister ever.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Dutton of Seymour, Indiana, two sisters, Debra Ryle and her husband Jeff of Macomb, Michigan and Rhonda Atha and her husband Richard of Seymour, Indiana. Two grandchildren, Cogan Michael Dutton and Gavin Morris Dutton. Along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Carla Jo Foster.

Teresa will be forever loved and missed

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 1:30 PM at Christensen Family Funeral Home - Seymour Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 1:30 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Thomas Woodson officiating. She will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery.

The family requests that memorial donations be directed to Schenck Hospice in honor of Teresa Abell.
