Wilson Irwin

Wilson A. Irwin Wilson A. Irwin, age 92 of Louisville and formerly of Hanover, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at St. Mary Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Born February 27, 1922 in Jefferson County Indiana, he was the son of Arthur and Cora (McKay) Irwin, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by two sisters Sara Stiles and Lucille Irwin; two brothers Stephen A. Irwin and Isaiah Irwin. Mr. Irwin was a retired farmer; he owned land and farmed with his brother in Madison near the Proving Ground after selling, He and his brother owned farm in Hanover, where he lived until selling and moving to Louisville to live with his nephew. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Hanover. Wilson enjoyed gardening, listening to the radio and talking. SURVIVORS Mr. Irwin is survived by several nieces and nephews including William and Betty Sachleben of Louisville, Kentucky, who have been his care takers for the past twenty years and Betty Welch of Greensburg, Indiana. SERVICES Pastor Mike Straub will conduct funeral service at 1:00 pm Friday November 28, 2014 at the Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre-Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, with interment in Hebron Cemetery. VISITATION Friends and family may call at the funeral home Friday November 28, 2014 from 11:00am until the time of service at 1:00pm at the Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre, 117 Holt Drive.
