Belinda Jane (Vires) Rankin

Belinda Jane (Vires) Rankin, age 61, a steadfast soul whose warmth touched many lives, journeyed from this world on June 14, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on September 26, 1963, in Greensburg, Indiana, Belinda was a radiant light, illuminating the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her. A proud graduate of Seymour High School in 1982, she would go on to forge a remarkable path, dedicating over three decades of her life to her career at Seymour Tubing, where her imprint will forever be cherished.

Known for her outgoing spirit and caring nature, Belinda embodied strength and generosity. She was not merely a member of her family—she was the heart of it. Each encounter with her revealed a tapestry of kindness; she had the unique gift of making everyone feel more than just welcomed—she made them feel like family.

In her vibrant younger years, Belinda found joy in camping adventures, the thrill of fishing, and the satisfaction of engaging in arts and crafts. She delighted in watching cooking shows, a passion that perhaps fueled her dedication to nurturing both family gatherings and friendships. Belinda's love extended beyond the human realm to her cherished dog, Precious Dakota, who was undoubtedly a valued companion throughout her life.

Family, both alive and departed, formed the bedrock of her existence. She leaves behind her cherished son, James Vires of Medora, Indiana, and her beloved daughter, Gabrielle Rankin of Indianapolis, Indiana. Her legacy lives on through her brothers: Kevin Vires and his wife Betsy of Greensburg, Indiana, and Stephen Vires of Greensburg, Indiana, alongside her devoted sisters Angela Smith and her husband Hiram of Seymour, Indiana, Rebecca Vires of Greensburg, Indiana, Deanna Havron and her husband Kurt of Greensburg, Indiana, and Chris Vires of Greensburg, Indiana. Belinda was preceded in death by her father, James Vires, and her mother, Rosita Gates Vires, whose love and guidance paved the way for the remarkable person she became.

As we gather to honor her life, a Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service beginning at 5:00 PM at the Christensen Family Funeral Home in Seymour, Indiana. It is here, in this sacred space, that friends and family will come together to share stories, rekindle memories, and celebrate the extraordinary woman who gave so much beyond measure.
