Carmen Mandes

A memorial service will be held for Carmen on Wednesday, June 3rd at 2:00pm at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre. She was born in Guayama, Puerto Rico, to Jose and Regina (Rivera) Mandes. Carmen was retired having taught school in Puerto Rico. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Seymour and enjoyed bowling, arts and crafts and was active in the ladies civic club. She leaves behind a daughter, Ivonne Ortiz and son in law, Ivar Rodriguez of Seymour; a son Arturo Ortiz of Melbourne, Florida and a brother, Rene Mandes of Orlando, Florida; Carmen also had two grandchildren ,Arturo and Derek Rodriguez.
