Charles A. Pifer, age 72 of Seymour, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018 at his residence. Born January 22, 1946 in Seymour, he was the son of Glen E. and Fernella Ellen (Imlay) Pifer.
Charles retired from Cummins in 1998 after 30 years of employment. He was a veteran of the United States of Army. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 655 and the VFW Post 1925 in Seymour. Charles enjoyed street rods, working in his garage, having rebuilt numerous cars. He also loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy (Disney) Pifer whom he married June 11, 1966; his son, Brian Pifer of Seymour; siblings, Gordon Pifer and wife Brenda, Marie Ellen Foster and husband Ted and Pam Weddle and husband Roger all of Seymour; 3 grandchildren Charles Pifer and wife Amy, Sarah Ault and husband Shannon and Katie Woodard and fiancé Tyler Jenkins; 9 great-grandchildren, Morgan, Brian, Samantha, Adam, Paige, Jayden, Dawson, Clyde, Charlie Mae; He was anxiously waiting for the arrival of his 10th great-grandson Charles Joseph; several nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Shelia Woodard and brother Donnie Pifer.
