Clarence Melvin Terrell, 95, a former Scottsburg & Seymour resident, died Saturday March 9 2019 at Majestic Care of North Vernon. A retired night supervisor at Lear Siegler (10 years) and a production line mechanic at Arvin Industries (29+years).
He was a WWII veteran serving in the U S Navy aboard the USS New York on convey duty in the North Atlantic & at the Battle of Iwo Jima & Okinawa in the South Pacific. He was a member of Kimberlin Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include his sons Jerry L Terrell of Toms River NJ & David E Terrell, a merchant marine with home port in Guam; a daughter Sandra E Terrell of Seymour IN; and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 of his 3 wives Lucile Mae Webster and Lois Francis Abbott Wooldridge Terrell, divorced from 2nd wife. He was preceded in death by his father Otto M Terrell, his mother Ola Moon Terrell, a daughter Sharon R Terrell; four brothers Horace E Terrell, Lloyd W Terrell, Robert W Terrell, Marshall L Terrell; 2 sisters Wilma Terrell Corpman & Mildred Terrell Berry.
Visitation: NOON – 1 PM Friday March 15 2019 at Stewart & Hoagland Funeral Home, Scottsburg IN
Funeral Service: 1 PM Friday March 15 2019 at the funeral home
Burial: Scottsburg Cemetery, Scottsburg IN
Graveside Military Service: American Legion Post 234, Scottsburg.
