Clementina Arellano Vasquez, a radiant spirit whose joy illuminated the lives of all she met, departed this world on April 12, 2025, at Columbus Regional Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of happiness intertwined with love for her family. Born on December 17, 1959, in the warm embrace of Vera Cruz, Mexico, Clementina carried with her the vibrant rhythms of her heritage, which she celebrated throughout her life with an ardent passion.

A devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church, she found solace and community in her faith, nurturing the bonds of friendship and fellowship with joyful abandon. Music and dance were not merely hobbies for Clementina; they were the very expressions of her soul. The sound of laughter and the melodies of love echo through the memories of those who danced alongside her and savored her famous shrimp dishes and homemade tortillas, crafted with affection.

Her essence was vibrant, marked by an unparalleled joyfulness that filled every room she entered, especially when surrounded by her cherished family. Above all, she adored her son, Mario Mota, and his wife Monica Sanchez of Seymour, Indiana. The light in her eyes shone brightest in the presence of her three beloved grandchildren, who brought endless joy and purpose to her life.

Clementina is survived by her brothers, Issac Arellano of Atlanta, Georgia, and Guillermina A. Arellano of Vera Cruz, Mexico, who will carry forward her spirit through their shared memories.

She has been welcomed into the arms of her beloved parents, Martin Arellano and Seferina Vasquez, those who guided her through her early years and instilled in her the values of love and family that she cherished so deeply.

As we gather to remember Clementina, we celebrate a life beautifully lived — one that served as a reminder to appreciate the joyous moments, to dance with abandon, and to surround ourselves with the warmth of family love. Her spirit will continue to resonate within our hearts, guiding us in every step of our own journeys, just as she did in life.
