Dane Higdon, 46, of Scottsburg, died Friday, March 25 2011 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville IN. He was born January 28 1965 in Clark County IN to Ronald & Alfonda Higdon. He was married to Penny Barnett Higdon. Dane was a graduate of Scottsburg High School; attended college 1 year; was retired from Morgan Foods in Austin IN; attended Mt. Moriah Church & Fairview Christian Church; & was a member of NRA. Survivors: his parents Ronald & Alfonda Higdon; his wife Penny Higdon; sons D. J. Higdon of Scottsburg & Clayton Gross of Austin; daughter Tara Allen & husband Michael of Sheperdsville KY; sisters Dawn Grider of Henryville & Rhonda Deaton of Scottsburg; & 4 grandchildren Courtney Allen, Michael Allen, Skylar Gross & McKenzie Gross. Visitation: 4 PM - 8 PM, Monday, March 28 2011 & after 10:30 AM, Tuesday March 29 2011 at Stewart & Hoagland Funeral Home. Funeral Service: 1 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home with Todd Richardson officiating and burial in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
