Danny Albert Pittman, age 70, born on December 13, 1955 to the late Kenneth Pittman and the late Elizabeth (Tate) Patman, passed away on Friday July 24, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his beloved family. He was a 1974 graduate of Brownstown High School and attended Vincennes University. Danny had a deep love for helping people which was reflective of his 40 years as a Mental Health Tech at Columbus Regional Hospital. He was also a member of First Baptist Church in Brownstown, Indiana.
Danny will forever be remembered as a soft spoken, laid back man that enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and loved the outdoors. Danny loved going to festivals with The Jackson County Fair being his favorite. He enjoyed going to different stores and just taking his time browsing each isle with great interest. Danny was always "fashionably late" and that was always a funny family memory. In honor of that, the funeral will begin at 11:07 AM.
He is survived by his beloved wife Thelma Ann (Rohr) Pittman of Brownstown, Indiana, one son, Nicholas Chad Pittman of Brownstown, Indiana. Three daughters, Karina NeSmith of Delmar, Maryland, Breanna Amburgey and her husband Mike of Seymour, Indiana and Crystal Nice of Coco, Florida. One brother, Douglas Pittman of Brownstown, Indiana. Thirteen grandchildren, Dominique, Raelynne, Macy, Eliott, Randy, Zadyn, Keeley, Carter, Lewis, Emmett, Lillie, Jaxon, Otto, Abigale and Ben. One great grandchild, Colton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife of 37 years, Tina (Whitlock) Pittman and one brother Kenneth Pittman.
The family will receive friends on Thursday July 30, 2026 at First Baptist Church in Brownstown, Indiana from 5:00PM until 8:00PM. Visitation will resume on Friday July 31, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church with funeral services beginning at 11:07 AM. He will be laid to rest at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hardinsburg, Indiana.
