Donald Tourney

Donald Doc Tourney, 64, passed away in Seymour on August 3, 2023.

He was born in Denver, Colorado on February 4, 1959, to Eloise and

Robert D. Tournay.

Donald attended Vernon Verona Sherril High School in New York and

left to join the United States Army. There he learned electronic

engineering and was a part of the 7 th Signal Brigade. He was proud of

his military background and was a member of the American Legion Post

#404 in Vernon, New York. He enjoyed fishing and laughing. He had a

great sense of humor, that his family will remember forever.

He is survived by his son; Matthew Tournay of Washington; his sisters,

Ronda Sharlette of Oneida, New York, Cindy Richmond of Vernon

Center, New York, Jaimee Savage of Canastota, New York, Tracey

Findlay of Camden, New York and Bobbi Jo Engle of Seymour, Indiana;

his brother, Douglas Richmond of Wampsville, New York; his

granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Douglas R.

Tournay and David Stratten.

Cremations services has been selected by family. Friends and family are
