Drusilla Ann Tatman

April 11, 1948 — September 14, 2025

Seymour, Indiana

Drusilla Ann Tatman, a beacon of love and resilience, was born on April 11, 1948, in Columbus, Indiana. She departed this life from her residence on September 14, 2025, leaving behind a legacy woven with kindness, laughter, and connection.

As a proud graduate of Hauser High School in Hope, Indiana in 1966, Drusilla set forth into the world armed not only with an education but with a strong sense of faith as a Baptist. She lived her life embodying the very virtues she cherished, exuding an infectious warmth that enveloped all those fortunate enough to cross her path. A loving and strong woman, her genuine heart was open to everyone she encountered. Her ability to connect and converse effortlessly with people from all walks of life illuminated her outgoing personality; she had a good sense of humor that brought joy to many.

Drusilla's passions ran deep, with fishing, gardening, and crocheting defining much of her leisure time. She found tranquility in the gentle lapping of water against the hull of a boat, the rich soil beneath her hands, and the soothing rhythm of yarn slipping through her fingers. Her beloved cat, Daisy, was a constant companion, sharing in her serene moments of domestic bliss and exploration outdoors.

In her heart, Drusilla held dear the memories of those who shaped her life and whose absence she mourned. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Earl Keller and Betty White Adams, her devoted husband of 37 years, David Tatman, and her precious infant daughter, Stacy Burton. Each of these profound losses etched a mark on her soul but never dimmed her spirit of love.

Surviving Drusilla are her son, Mike Burton, and his wife Trisha, along with her two grandchildren, Cody and Casey Durham. The love she bestowed upon her family was boundless, reflected in the laughter and joy of her numerous great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her legacy of warmth and nurturing kindness.

Drusilla Ann Tatman enriched the lives of those fortunate to know her, her laughter echoing warmly in their hearts. Her memory will forever linger in the stories shared, bringing light and comfort, just as she did in life. As we gather to celebrate her legacy, let us remember her not with tears alone, but with the joy and love she so generously shared.

In keeping with her wishes, the family has chosen cremation and a Celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Daniel and Betsy Christensen have been entrusted with the arrangements.
