Gloria Lee Moss Wright, a beacon of kindness and unwavering love, passed from this world on May 29, 2026, at The Waters of Scottsburg. Born on December 29, 1963, in Seymour, Indiana, Gloria’s life was a testament to the power of gentle compassion and heartfelt generosity.

A 1981 graduate of Seymour High School, Gloria carried the lessons of her youth with quiet dignity throughout her days. Rooted deeply in her Apostolic faith, she lived a life that was as much about service to others as it was about embracing the joys of simple pleasures. Those who knew her remember a woman who was kind-hearted, generous, loving, and always respectful—qualities that defined her character and endeared her to many.

Gloria’s career as a caregiver was more than a vocation—it was a calling. Her passion for nurturing and caring for the elderly illuminated her every day, reflecting a soul devoted to gentleness and understanding. Away from her professional duties, she found joy in camping, where the tranquility of nature mirrored the calm she radiated. She was also an excellent cook, a talent shared lovingly with family and friends, binding them closer through the warmth of her meals.

She leaves behind a family that will forever cherish her memory. Her devoted husband of over 30 years, David Wright of Lexington, Indiana, stands as a pillar of the life they built together. Their daughter, Fallon Horton of Lexington, carries forward Gloria’s legacy of love and strength. She is also survived by her brother, Pete Moss Jr., and sister, Janie Moss, both of Seymour, Indiana, who remember her as a guiding light through the years.

Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Pete Moss Sr. and Martha Moss, as well as her sister Barbara Moss, whose spirits undoubtedly smile upon her now. Her departure marks the closing of a chapter filled with tenderness and devotion, a story written with acts of selflessness and grace.

The community will gather to honor Gloria’s memory at a graveside service on June 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Indiana. Here, amid the quiet embrace of the earth she so loved, friends and family will celebrate a life that was as warm and nourishing as the meals she lovingly prepared.
