Jean Boyd

Jean Boyd, 74, of Scottsburg, died January 28 2011 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville KY. She was born November 10 2936 in Scottsburg IN to Harry & Farcetta Watterson Bennett, who are deceased. She was married to Earnest Leo Boyd, who also preceded her in death. Jean was a homemaker, a former waitress at Pete Steffey's Restaurent in Greenwood & previously was employed at Marti's Flowers in Austin IN. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and attended Mt. Hebron Church. Survivors: daughters Carrie Norton & husband Frank of Scottsburg, Mary Hite & husband David of Scottsburg; sons Dennis Boyd & wife Wanda of Butlerville IN, Timmy Boyd of Edinburgh IN; sister Donna S Gross of Fountain Inn SC; 6 grandchildren Brittany Hite, Jeremy Hite, Casey Norton, Chad Norton, Drew Boyd & Dawn Boyd. She was also preceded in death by brothers Tom Bennett & Jimmy Bennett.

Visitation: 4 PM - 7 PM, Tuesday, February 1 2011 at Stewart & Hoagland Funeral Home. Funeral Service: 7 PM at the funeral home  with Bro Rodney Sweeney officiating & burial in Scottsburg Cemetery.
