Jerry "Kevin" Anderson

December 3, 1963 — September 15, 2025

Seymour

Jerry "Kevin" Anderson, born on December 3, 1963, in the charming town of Seymour, Indiana, forged a life marked by dedication, humor, and an unwavering spirit. Kevin departed this world on September 15, 2025, at the Schneck Medical Center, leaving behind a legacy woven with the threads of love, laughter, and resilience.

From an early age, Kevin demonstrated a knack for fixing things, which blossomed into a lifelong career as an auto mechanic and jack of all trades. To those who knew him, he was the go-to man for any repair, blending expertise with an infectious joy that brightened even the most mundane tasks. His commitment to his craft was matched only by his service to his country, having proudly served in the United States Army. A dedicated member and past Post Commander of the Seymour American Legion, he devoted many weekends to the organization, embodying the values of camaraderie and community.

An alumnus of Brown County High School, graduating in 1981, Kevin’s journey through life led him to become a devoted father, brother, and friend. He cherished his role as a father, finding immense joy in the lives of his children and three beloved grandchildren, Amelia Kinworthy, Quallen Trosclair, and Luna Cristan, with two more on the way. The excitement in his heart was palpable whenever he shared tales of their adventures, and he could often be found with a Mountain Dew in hand, ready to embrace the laughter that filled the room.

Kevin was not only known for his hard work but also for his vibrant personality and interests that reflected his zest for life. Whether it was playing pool, riding his motorcycle, or spending serene afternoons fishing, he approached each moment with unquenchable enthusiasm. Family trips brought him immense pleasure, and he relished the lazy afternoons indulging in a well-deserved nap or cheering for his favorite football team. Auctions, too, held a special place in his heart, where he found joy in the thrill of the hunt.

Surrounded by a loving family, Kevin’s memories will be cherished by his daughter Samantha S. Trosclair and her husband Trystan of Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; son Jerry K. Kinworthy and his wife Kaia of Medora, Indiana; brothers Tracy Anderson and Joseph Knight of Seymour, Indiana; sisters Kim Hatton of Spencer, Indiana, Tuwana Simpson and her husband Frank of Seymour, Indiana, Lynn Cowles and her husband Brad of Medora, Indiana, and Teresa Thompson of North Vernon, Indiana. His brothers and parents, William Jerry Anderson and Alma Bowers Liebert, along with brothers David Anderson, James Bunch, and Troy Knight, will be waiting to reunite with him in a realm beyond this earthly existence.

As we gather to honor Kevin’s life, we will remember a man whose heart was as big as his laugh, whose skills were as diverse as his interests, and whose love was immeasurable. Family and friends are invited to commemorate Kevin’s life on September 20, 2025, with a visitation from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM, both held at the Christensen Family Funeral Home in Seymour, Indiana. May his spirit continue to inspire warmth and connection, reminding us of the profound beauty found in each moment shared with those we love.
