Judy Kay (Trapp) Woodson, age 82, born on July 15, 1943 to the late Ermil Trapp and the late Joyce (Jaynes) Clampitt, passed away on Friday July 3, 2026 at Seymour Crossing in Seymour, Indiana. Judy will forever be remembered as a kind hearted lady that loved people and they loved her. She was an excellent listener, encourager and always willing to help in any way that she could. She worked for several years as the Retail Manager at Seymour Dollar General where she took great pride in her job and serving her community. She was very talented with floral arrangements and was the owner of The Sunshine Shop in Seymour, Indiana once again serving her community with her love and artistic ability. She was well known for her hairstyle abilities, whether it was doing the ladies hair at church or the evangelists wife that were coming through town, Judy always made sure it was beautiful and pleasing to the Lord.
Judy's faith was very important to her, as a faithful member of Seymour Christ Temple, Judy was a beacon of light and love to those in her church. She was very active and a blessing wherever the need was. She lived her life in faith and service to her Lord Jesus Christ.
Judy is survived by her son, John D. Hunnicutt of Seymour, Indiana and daughter, Kimba (Hunnicutt) Applegate and her husband Chester of Seymour, Indiana. Six grandchildren, Jason Kleber, Brett Kleber, Cara Blocker, Kayla Hunnicutt, Mitch Hunnicutt and Jase Hunnicutt. Thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred "Woody" Woodson, her husband of 20 years, William Hunnicutt, the father of her children, one brother, James Bode and one grandchild, Brittanni Kleber.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday July 14, 2026 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Seymour Christ Temple with funeral services beginning at 2:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery.
The family requests memorials be directed to Seymour Christ Temple.
