Kenneth Lee Ponder, passed away on April 22, 2025, in his hometown of Seymour, Indiana. Born on March 31, 1959, Kenneth lived a life characterized by hard work, quiet strength.
After completing his education by graduating high school, Kenneth went on to serve in the Army for one year and nine months, where he demonstrated his dedication and sense of duty to his country. Following his military service, he forged a career as a truck driver and machinist at a local factory, embodying a strong work ethic and reliability that earned him the respect of his colleagues.
Kenneth was known for being a private individual and for finding comfort in solitude. He is survived by his loving mother, Virgie Ponder, along with his sisters: Sandra McKinney, Brenda Thompson, and Deborah Mellencamp. His two brothers, James Ponder and John Ponder, also carry forward his memory. Kenneth is preceded in death by his father, James Paul Ponder. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will cherish the memories they created with him.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. No public services will be held. A private burial will be held at a later date.
