Kenneth "Kenny" Allen Smith Sr., age 61, was born on December 11, 1964 to the late Allen Smith and Leslie (Pitts) Wagner and her husband Jerry of Warsaw, Indiana. He passed from this life July 14, 2026 at IU Health Morgan in Martinsville, Indiana. He was a 1984 graduate of North Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana and received his Associates Degree in Carpentry from Ivy Tech. He was a Christian by faith.
Kenny will forever be remembered as a congenial, generous, kind hearted man that loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was a strong willed man that was mostly quiet, but when he talked, people listened. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and anything to do with the outdoors. Kenny was a master carpenter and could build anything he put his hands to. Above all that he loved in this life, nothing compared to the love he had for his family, especially his kids and grandkids. Kenny adored his wife and his love for her was often a source of strength.
Kenny is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Nancy (Copley) Smith and his mother and step father. Four sons, Kenneth Smith Jr., Hunter Smith, Cash Smith and Josh Coffin. One daughter, Heather Marley of Langley Kentucky. One brother, Jerry Matt Wagner and his wife Shelly and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A celebration of Life will be held on Sunday July 26, 2026 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the White River Yacht Club located at 1400 E. 74th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana.
