Luvicy Mae Eldridge
Born on March 24, 1947, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, Luvicy Mae Eldridge passed away on March 31, 2025.
Luvicy was the beloved wife of the late Sid Wayne Eldridge, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in passing by her parents, Susie Pike Decker and James Robert Decker, as well as her brothers, Luis Decker, Leon Decker, and Daniel Decker, and her sisters, Carolyn Decker Ward and Mary Decker Green.
As the last surviving member of her generation, Luvicy deeply cherished the time she spent with her family, from nieces and nephews to great-great-nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her loving nieces and nephews: Darrel Ward, Carla Ward, Tanya Caudill, and several others.
Her memory will be treasured by her great-nieces and nephews: Zack and Kristen Caudill, Moon Ward, Aaron Cox, Jessica Green, Destiny Cox, Donald “Chub” Cox, Pearl Ward, Courtney Ward, Cory Ward, Kayden Ward, and several others.
Her great-great-nieces and nephews, including Colton Doty Ward, Waylon Caudill, Walker Caudill, and Mason Young, will also treasure her memory, as she fostered close bonds with family members across all generations.
Throughout her life, Luvicy was a devoted and faithful Christian, finding strength and community in her faith.
Luvicy found joy in many activities, especially when it came to the children. Luvicy would be rolling around on the floor playing / wrestling with them, riding big wheel cars, playing volleyball, badminton, and many other activities. Luvicy enjoyed cooking for the family and teaching the children how to cook. Embracing her adventurous spirit through riding Harley-Davidsons and enjoying side-by-side excursions, she also found solace in reading her Bible and attending church, and cherished the companionship of her beloved Shih Tzu dog, “Miss Kitty.” She also enjoyed the creativity of sewing and quilting, the camaraderie of playing cards with family and friends, going to different casino’s and playing scratch-off tickets, and the beauty of her garden, where she cultivated rose bushes and cacti. Known for her keen interest in the world around her and the entertainment on her phone, Luvicy was often the first to know the latest news or gossip and enjoyed sharing it with her friends and loved ones.
In keeping with her wishes, the family has chosen cremation.
Daniel and Betsy Christensen have been entrusted with the arrangements.
