Madalyn Kate Woods

Madalyn Kate Woods, age 17, a native and resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024 at her residence.

She was born on July 19, 2006 to Ben Woods of Seymour, Indiana and the late Amanda (Ford) Woods.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and a senior at Seymour High School.

Maddy was an amazing, caring, witty, sharp young lady that was a responsible planner and cared deeply about her future. She was a leader and stood out in a crowd. She enjoyed traveling and seeing new sights and being adventurous. 

She was so looking forward to graduation and seeing where life was going to take her.

She is survived by her father, Ben Woods and his finace, Sarah Fisher of Seymour, Indiana, one brother, Zander Woods of Seymour, Indiana and four sisters, Destiny Woods, Lailan Bragg, Jaiden Bragg and Evangeline Woods, all of Seymour, Indiana. Maternal grandmother, Tammy Timbers and paternal grandmother, Trudy Woods, both of Seymour, Indiana. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, one niece and many friends that will miss her dearly. 

She was preceded in death by her mother. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church with funeral services beginning at 1:00 PM. Pastor Philip Bloch will officiate, assisted by Mr. Matt Nieman.
