Marie Ruth Harvey

Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Ruth Phillips Harvey will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the First Baptist Church Soperton with Reverend Mike Spivey officiating. Burial will be in the Phillips Cemetery in Treutlen County. Mrs. Harvey died November 20, 2025 in Seymour, IN.

Mrs. Harvey, 60, was the daughter of the late Travis Bacon and Joann Cordiero. She was born in Miami, FL on October 27, 1965 and was a high school graduate. She moved to California where she met her husband of 28 years, Wayne, and later moved with her family to Soperton in 2008 to care for her mother. A few years later, Wayne’s job moved the family to Seymour, IN where they have lived for the past 10 years. She was a housewife, a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church Soperton. As a cancer survivor, even through her long struggles with the treatments, she always provided for and loved her husband, children, grandchildren and entire family.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Wayne Harvey; three sons, Kyle Demarco, Matt Demarco and Nicolas Harvey; daughter, Kayln Clay and grandchildren, Adelaide and Elijah Clay and Hunter, Olive and Wren Demarco.

The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM at the church in Soperton.
