Ross Hugh Barber
December 10, 1961 — September 9, 2017
Ross Hugh Barber, 55, of Seymour, Indiana passed from this earth on September 9th, 2017 at the Rex Robey VA Hospital in Louisville, KY. Ross was a seventeen year veteran of the United States Navy, and served aboard the USS Canisteo (AO-99), USS Gettysburg (CG-64), Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, and Naval Station Mayport, among others.
He is survived by his son, Matthew, daughter Cassandra, wife Michele, brothers David, Kent, and Carl, stepchildren Edwin and Ashley, and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia, and Father David.
A celebration of Ross’s life will be held October 14th in Lafayette, IN, location and time to be determined and will be posted here. Ross is to be cremated and will be buried at sea, and interred at Newbern Cemetery, alongside his Mother. Fair winds and following seas, Ross. We love you and miss you!
