Ruby (Rehberger) Fink, age 96, born on July 11, 1928, in Sunman, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her residence on September 15, 2024, surrounded by her family.
A proud 1947 graduate of Sunman High School, Ruby dedicated several years of her life to working for Batesville Casket Company. Her commitment to hard work was matched only by her warm and kind-hearted nature. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Ruby will remember her as witty, sweet, laid back, and easy going—qualities that endeared her to many.
Ruby cherished her days filled with hobbies that brought joy and creativity to her life. She found solace in quilting and delight in raising African Violets. She enjoyed participating in church dinners and community fireman's festivals, always relishing the time spent with her church family and friends.
Her culinary talents will be fondly remembered, especially her delicious pot roast, chili, and yeast rolls, which warmed the hearts and homes of all who were invited to her table.
Ruby’s family was her greatest joy. She is survived by her daughter, Marie Fink Culver and her husband James of Sunman, Indiana; two grandchildren, Kristie Littrell and Kevin Flint; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren with two more on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Harry Rehberger Sr., her mother, Maud (Haven) Rehberger, her husband Ralph Fink whom she shared 52 wonderful years with, her brother Harry Rehberger Jr., her sister Thelma Thielbar, and her grandson Marcus Culver, along with her nephews Dale Thielbar and David Rehberger.
