Ruth Ellen Smith, 96, of Scottsburg IN, died Thursday, May 5 2011 at Scott Villa Nursing & Rehab Center in Scottsburg. She was born December 11 1914 in Dekalb Illinois to Clyde Comer & Lola Bennett Comer, who are deceased. She was married to Harvey Smith who also preceded her in death along with brothers Raymond Comer & Stanley Comer & sister Helen Watterson. Ruth was a homemaker and a member of First Christian Church of Scottsburg. She is survived by many nieces & nephews, including her niece/caregiver Janice Nowlin.
