Steven Douglas Reed, born on August 12, 1970, in the vibrant town of Seymour, Indiana, departed this world on October 9, 2025, at his residence, leaving behind a tapestry of cherished memories and a legacy of quiet joy.

A 1988 graduate of Seymour High School, Steven was not just defined by his academic achievements but by the spirit with which he approached life. He was a Christian by faith and found solace and strength in his beliefs. His professional journey, centered around Brooklyn Pizza in his hometown, reflected the happiness he found in serving others, engaging with patrons, and sharing laughter over delicious food.

Those who knew Steven often commented on his cheerful demeanor. He was a man of few words who preferred the comfort of his own company, yet his happiness radiated like the warmth of late afternoon sun. He took pleasure in the simple things: loving animals, immersing himself in the riveting worlds of movies and video games, and delving into the vivid realms of comic books.

Steven is survived by his beloved family, including his father, Larry S. Reed, and his wife Mary of Seymour, Indiana; his brothers, Jeff Alexander of Seymour, Indiana, and Jason Hallett and his wife Erin of Seymour, Indiana; and his sister, Dr. Stephanie Burgess and her husband Kyle of Seymour, Indiana. Each family member holds a special place in their hearts for the laughter and love that he brought into their lives.

Though he faced the loss of those dear to him—his mother, Ruth Ann Troxell Reed, and brother, Daryl Alexander—Steven's spirit remained resilient, a beacon of fond memories and love shared.
