William "Dino" Jackson, age 71, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on March 28, 2026, at Seymour Crossing. Born on July 16, 1954, William carried the spirit of his hometown with him throughout his life. Known far and wide for his easygoing nature, contagious humor, and unwavering willingness to lend a hand, William was a man whose presence brightened any room.
From the moment he took to the open roads as a truck driver, William embraced the freedom and vastness of the highways he traveled. The thrill of the journey called to him, and his love for driving was matched only by his affection for the people he shared his life with. His personality was as expansive as the roads he loved—a blend of friendliness, warmth, and quick wit that made him the heart of every gathering.
William was the life of the party, a role he filled effortlessly as he spent cherished time with friends, weaving laughter and joy into their lives. This joyous spirit was a hallmark of all who knew him and defined the relationships he nurtured over the decades.
His family was the cornerstone of his heart. Surviving William are his son, Moses Jackson of Seymour, Indiana; his brother Gary Jackson and wife Brenda, also of Seymour; and his sister Billie Jean Richey and her husband Patrick, both from Seymour. He leaves behind a loving circle of grandchildren—Macy, Moses II, Jayden and his wife Kelley, Savannah and her husband Josh, Samantha and her husband Mike, and Dakota—alongside numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will continue to carry his legacy forward.
William was predeceased by his father, William H. Jackson, and mother, Ester Ayers Watkins; his sons, William "Little Dino" Jackson and Jarrod Jackson; and his sister Cindy Stacy, memories engraved deeply in the hearts of those who loved him.
