Visitation

Within Hours

If a loved one passes away at home or in a non-healthcare setting, please contact emergency services for assistance before we can proceed with taking them into our care. If your loved one was under medical care, it's advisable to inform their physician as well.

In the event of a death in a healthcare facility, the appropriate authorities, including the chosen funeral home, will typically be notified by the facility.

Emergency responders and medical personnel will assist you in obtaining the necessary paperwork, including a medical certificate.

We understand that this phase can be highly emotional, and we are here to provide guidance and support throughout. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have any uncertainties or questions about the next steps.

Funeral Service

Within the First Few Days

It's important to inform close friends and relatives of your loved one's passing, both through personal phone calls and by publishing a death notice. If this process is too difficult, it's completely acceptable to ask a trusted family member or friend for assistance.

Now is also the time to review any preplanned funeral wishes your loved one may have had and to meet with a funeral director to initiate funeral arrangements. If your loved one did not make any prior arrangements, you may want to begin considering some significant decisions, such as:

  • Choosing between burial or cremation
  • Selecting a casket if burial is chosen, and deciding on the final resting place in a grave or mausoleum
  • Choosing an urn and deciding on the location for the final resting place through burial or scattering if opting for cremation
  • Arranging any religious services needed, including clergy or spiritual leaders
  • Deciding on the type of services desired, such as a viewing, service, graveside memorial, etc.

These questions are just the beginning, and it's okay if you don't have all the answers immediately. Feel free to reach out to us for guidance and support to better understand your options. We're here to help simplify this process for you.

Graveside Service

What to Expect When We Meet

When you meet with a member of our staff to discuss your arrangements, we'll start by providing you with a general price list to give you an overview of our service costs.

Next, we'll ask you about your loved one to understand the person the services will honor. This is your opportunity to share your ideas, preferences, and your loved one's life story. Feel free to reminisce about memories and highlight their achievements. Our professionals will use this information to help you create a personalized and meaningful celebration of their life.
